The term “lo-fi music” gained popularity in the 1950s, when recording technology began to be available to mass markets. The low-quality of the equipment stuck in the recordings, and a natural distorted type of sound was present in the tracks.
That’s usually where you will plug in the top drums, or hi-hats. Try a closed hi-hat on every second note and listen to what it sounds like. There you have your standard Lo-fi Hip Hop pattern.
This is of course a very standard pattern, and once you get the hang of it, you should feel free to play around with the Beatmaker and come up with your own creative patterns. The sky’s the limit here!

The last short features Blocky getting ready to do a prank, and then looking The Bst Lo-Fi over at Ice Cube, his next prank victim. Ice Cube backs away and shakes in fear at what's coming to her, but to her surprise, Blocky gives her a gift. Pen places a Santa hat on her and all of the characters cheer before she opens her gift. Blocky pulls out Camera to take a picture as Ice Cube opens her gift, which is actually a boxing glove. The picture Blocky takes is of her shattered body.
While this has multiple scenes from BFB, it also has a few minor and quick special scenes made directly for this video, such as the stinger where an unknown 3D graphic is displayed.
